Kenneth Kendel – Broadcaster - Pastel

Rowney Pastel Sticks on W&N hi-key paper. I was very privileged to meet up with Kenneth, we both have a love of water and messing about in boats. I remembered him from my childhood and went to his art gallery to start the portrait. I was trying to get a feeling for his character during the first hour when we discovered our mutual interest in sailing. Here you can see him reflecting on his sailing achievements and looking forward to the approaching summer season on his newly acquired boat.
